Biography

Professor Francis completed her undergraduate degree in Medical Humanities at Baylor University, where she was a member of the Equestrian team and won both Big 12 and National Championships. She graduated Cum Laude and received the Dr. Gerald-Lage Award for excellence in sport and academics.

Professor Francis attended Texas Tech University Health Science Center, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS). Throughout her career as a PA, she has been an active preceptor and served as adjunct faculty at Hardin-Simmons University's PA program. She has guest lectured at Utah Valley University and worked with PA students, fellows, and resident physicians during her tenure at the University of Colorado and the University of Utah.

Professor Francis has worked primarily in rural acute care settings, including hospital medicine, critical care, and emergency medicine. She also has experience in family practice, telemedicine, medical oncology, neurosurgery, neuro-hospitalist services, and urgent care. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg.

Professor Francis is passionate about PA advocacy and practicing at the top of our profession's scope of practice.
